Travel Medicine

Travel Medicine is a specialized area of healthcare focused on the prevention and management of health risks associated with international travel. It involves assessing a traveler’s destination, itinerary, medical history, and potential exposures to provide evidence‑based guidance on vaccinations, disease prevention, environmental hazards, and safe travel practices. Travel medicine also includes preparing travelers for region‑specific risks such as infectious diseases, food and water safety concerns, vector‑borne illnesses, altitude sickness, and jet lag.
